some kale and spinach in there as well.

I just made it again
in the pressure cooker with
kale instead of
spinach and only did it under pressure for 2 minutes with quick release,
and it was wonderful!
In the grocery line I had

and thought of it as the Deliciously Ella way!
The combo of the
spinach and sunflower seeds makes this a lighter dish than your typical pesto (the
kale is a bit denser

Using
spinach is best because you don't taste the green leaves at all, but if you have high iron or hemochromatosis then baby
kale leaves are a great alternative

The best ingredients to include
in a green juice for a high dose of nutrition include
kale, Swiss chard, bok choy, dandelion greens,
spinach, watercress, baby
kale and herbs such as parsley.
Lentils are a go - to for me... I love simple curried lentil soup (veg broth, diced onion, mushroom, curry powder, cumin, garlic,
and lentils + any add -
ins you like... squash or potatoes help add bulk to it, I like adding
spinach or
kale, tomatoes add a nice acidity...) or an even simpler cold lentil salad made with red onion, diced tomatoes, lentils, chickpeas,
and lemon juice / vinegar / EVOO.
In a blender add the
spinach or baby
kale, maple syrup, vanilla extract, almond extract, apple sauce
and melted coconut oil.
You can make a smoothie really into powerhouse drink just by adding few add -
ins such as Flaxseeds, or some veggies like
spinach or
kale, or perhaps protein powder, a blend of Chia seeds, hemp seeds,
and buckwheat.
However, leafy greens such as
kale,
spinach, endive, romaine, collards, turnip greens
and mustard greens (just to name a few) are so dense
in other nutrients that they should be a focal point of your diet.

kale in the type of soup
and it turns out great.

kale is perfectly soft, gently, dark, contain lots of vitamins

kale, (can never find the baby kind, where I live)
and threw
in the chopped up tops of some bell peppers leftover from another recipe.

and whether you were tracking total carbs or net carbs (carbs minus fibre)-- as tracking net carbs allows us to eat quite a bit of
spinach / chard /
kale etc — since the fibre content of these veggies is so high..
Add
in some a few fiber - rich ingredients, like
kale and spinach,
and you're sure to stay satisfied.
This recipe is only one way to do it,
and if you haven't got a juicer you can also buy apple juice
and blend it with e.g. avocado,
kale and nuts, or buy a mixed vegetable juice
and blend
spinach, banana
and almonds
in.

and yet taste like you have spent half the day
in the kitchen (i do nt know about
kale, but

I know
kale is difficult / impossible to find
in Belgium outside of the winter season
and had already planned to use
spinach, but I thought for sure that I could find a summer squash.
If you prefer, you could use
spinach in place of the
kale,
and garnish it with some lightly toasted pumpkin seeds or other nuts
in place of the pine nuts.

Add the
spinach and kale in handfuls, sauteing until wilted.
