Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper and spread
out the
kale chips evenly on the baking sheet.
By far, the easiest is to make veggie
chips out of
kale or Brussels sprouts because they're paper - thin.
Although oven baked
kale chips come
out crispy, they burn easily if you're not careful, and the texture appears dryer (yes,
kale chips are supposed be dry, but there's definitely a difference in the way the
chips come
out when you oven bake them versus dehydrate them).
What I love about using the dehydrator to make
kale chips is that there are no burnt pieces and all the
kale chips come
out evenly baked.

kale chips 3 or 4 years ago?
That's not to say there aren't good brands
out there - there is a company in Lakewood, Ohio that makes a stellar
kale chip.

Baking these
out in the sun, instead of a dehydrator, is an ingenious way to get your crispy
kale chip fix.
I made several greens - focused recipes over the past few days, and thought I'd start
out the week after Cookiemas with some healthy (yet - ridiculously addictive)
kale chips.
Really, the only things she will eat rights now — roasted pastured chicken and the crispy skin, raw milk, raw cheese occasionally, pasture butter made into homemade fudge, grassfed buffalo or beef meatballs, avocado (though not much lately),
kale chips, roasted broccoli, pumpkin pancakes (but we're running
out of pumpkins to roast and puree) and some baked treats made with sprouted brown rice flour.
And speaking of spinach, these
kale chips totally remind me of the spinach version I often enjoy
out at local Thai restaurants here in Montréal.
i have adjusted it a little: — 2 stalks of celery — 1 carrot — 1 zucchini — 1/2 broccoli — power boiled black eyed beans with a powdered shitake «stock» i got from thailand — 1 sprig of the following: fresh oregano, thyme and rosemary (took the rosemary
out after the onion had browned but left the rest in)-- 2 fresh bay leaves dried over time (they just do not compare to the packaged ones) and i will chop up
kale and add just at the end, and also make some
kale chips to sprinkle on top.
