As a certified natural chef who has studied nutrition, I would caution using raw greens like spinach and
kale in smoothies.
I knew I wanted a
kale smoothie that was not only relatively low
in carbs, but moorish too.
I've used spinach
in my
smoothie, but never
kale.
Or at the very least, if you're calorie counting or merely being more mindful about what you put
in your
smoothies, you can still generally go nuts on the
kale, spinach, and chard.
Because
kale can be a little difficult to break down
in a
smoothie, a high speed blender works best for this recipe.
If you want to make this
smoothie even healthier, add
in a handful or two of organic greens (like spinach or
kale).
Blend
in berries or whole apples into your post workout

in the blender, a scoop of fiber powder, a couple leaves of fresh
kale, 1/4 of a large avocado, about 1/2 cup frozen peaches and about 1/4 to half a cup of frozen pineapple.
Obviously not quite as healthy as eating
kale raw, say for example
in a
smoothie, but definitely way better than deep fried potatoes!

kale chips.
I use
kale in smoothies all the time, but I think it's time to try it salad - style.
