They appear in several courses, acting as obstacles to
racers and cause a
kart to spin
out if hit.
Although the game is fleshed
out and definitely doesn't feel lacking, it's been said that DLC is also a possibility in the future — if the coming year finds us having access to an even wider selection of
racers and courses to expand the game even further, this could easily be one of the best
kart - style
racers ever made.

With more than 30 tracks and 15 vehicles to race with, Fast RMX offers a decent amount of replayability before the likes of more fleshed
out racers like F - Zero and Mario
Kart hit the Switch.
Things improve though and despite the harsh challenge, which comes mainly from the handling rather than the AI (but more on those guys later), I found myself keen to iron
out my racing sim wrinkles and lose those pesky
kart racer habits.
There are so many racing games
out there that either go for realism (Gran Turismo 6 for example) and others which attempt to mimic the Mario
Kart style (Sonic All - Stars and F1 Race Stars), but however good the realistic
racers can be, they don't have a match for the fun factor found in Mario
Kart.
However, it's tricky to see this as a reaction to the constant political upheaval as the
racers in the game are all the key players in said constant political upheaval: Princess Peach is taking time
out from being kidnapped by Bowser in order to race him in a series of increasingly whimsical go -
karts.
