I started working as
a Kennel Tech in high school, and shadowed a number of vets during my time in college to learn as I worked.
Eric started as a volunteer and was hired as
our Kennel Tech in 2012.

She began working at St. Tammany Humane Society
in October of 2008 as a
Kennel Tech, was promoted to
Kennel Manager six months later, and was promoted again several years later to Shelter Manager.
Our
kennel techs also assist our veterinary technicians and doctors
in providing patient care.

Tech Pet CPR and First Aid Instructor; assistant instructor for the International Bloodhound Training Institute, Certified K9 Handler
in Trailing and Land HRD, and an evaluator for the American
Kennel Club's Canine Good Citizen (CGC) program.
Christopher has always loved animals so he started part time at a clinic
in Escondido as a
kennel tech, then moved on to a busy practice
in Rancho Bernardo where he became technician,
tech supervisor and finally office manager.
Vet
techs work
in a number of settings including zoos, clinics and
kennels.
