There are various ketone - testing kits available, known
as Ketosticks or Ketostix to test you urine for ketones.
The easiest way to check if you're in ketosis or not is using these things
called Ketosticks.
Urine ketosticks are known to yield notoriously inaccurate results, while blood tests can be painful and expensive, breath ketone analyzers can be even more expensive.
Best way to measure if your insulin level is low is
the ketostick.
But, I haven't seen any results yet - yesterday I had no reading on
the ketostick (but I drank a lot of H20) & today I'm showing trace amounts.
A negative reading on
your ketosticks does not mean you won't, can't or are not losing weight.
Ketosticks are unable to measure the type of ketone that constitutes the majority present in your blood and urine at this point.
Again, it is helpful if a second person manipulates the plate and uses
the ketostick so that the person holding the leash does not have to manage all these tasks at once.
Dip
the ketostick in the urine and look for a color change.
