This excellent Windows 8 tablet / ultrabook hybrid has a well - designed
keyboard docking mechanism, typically solid build quality and a specification well suited to mainstream business use.

Unlike the majority of its ilk, the Iconia W3 features a rather novel
docking mechanism whereby the tablet itself slots into the back of the detachable
keyboard for transport.
At the top, you will find the Power button and a tiny hole for the microphone, and at the bottom, there is the
docking port with two holes for the rather solid retention
mechanism for the
keyboard dock.
There's a the volume rocker on the left edge of the device just below the 3.5 mm headphone jack with the on / off button on the top and on the right side a USB 2.0 port Micro HDMI port and the charging port which has a similar magnetic
mechanism as the
keyboard docking port but is far more fidgety to plug in.
The hinge
mechanism to to connect the tablet to the
keyboard dock is solid though and holds the tab steady, without wobbling when you tap it.
However, more work needs to be done to improve the
keyboard cover and its wobbly
docking mechanism.
