Previously there was no Qwerty
keyboard in portrait orientation (I know, I know) but that's been remedied.

in portrait orientation I find the BlackBerry touchscreen
keyboard to be just a little too tight for comfortable two thumb action, and that goes for both the Curve 9380 and Torch 9860.
