If your book is in one of these categories you need to enter at least one required keyword in the KDP
keyword field for your book to appear in your intended category.
Amazon's
Kindle keyword field in KDP is one of the main reasons why I advocate distributing your eBook via KDP rather than through a third - party distributor.
Insert your keywords into
the keyword field in your account.
For example, if you are an avid gold player, type in «golf» in
the keyword field and it will filter your matches accordingly.
One reason I can see not repeating title or sub title words in
the keywords field is that you get only so many high - value opportunities.
If I have lots of keywords (tested as you have done), I'll list those words in one place — title / sub, or
keyword field — but not both.
If a retailer or distributor doesn't give us a tags or
keywords field, we can fake it by adding these keywords into our book descriptions.
Add these to
the keyword field on any site that offers your book (Amazon, BN, IngramSpark, your website, etc.) look for ways to incorporate them organically into your other metadata.

As you type, the Amazon search engine will auto - complete your search string giving you ideas for the phrases you'll want to consider for your description and
keyword fields.
Use
the keywords field for keywords, the description field for description, etc..
If your category isn't listed please use the closest category and put your genre in
the Keywords Field below.
Note: Author names will be searched in
the keywords field, also, but that may find papers where the person is mentioned, rather than papers they authored.
Gone are the days of inserting many terms into
the keyword field for each page on your website.
Certain SEO plugins score your content based on the term you place in
the keyword field.
My alternative to using
the keyword field is to create a spreadsheet where I can keep track of keywords for each page, as well as derivatives and related long - tail keyword options.
