I turned 30 this month — and I'm still a
kid in more
ways than one — but as I step into a new season, I'm bringing along a little more
understanding of people and how we all get along.
If I am a teacher instructing children about how to read, and every child
in the room has learned to read but one, should I just say «tough toenails,
kid» or should I try different
ways of instructing the child (that doesn't include punishing or killing them) so that the child
understands?
By the
way, I have never
understood why someone wants to go
in the forces and fight another country as their career, but I
understand the US people are VERY patriotic, this may (just saying) may be also pushed on you since you were a young
kid.
I hope you get a chance to suffer
in such a
way as those
kids and their familes did... then maybe you'll

Not that
kids can get away with hitting each other, but when adults
understand different kinds of explanations for a child's behavior, then there are many more
ways to intervene, to help a child feel calm
