I am not an expert but I imagine the LibDem party would talk to other parties as relevant in a
hung parliament scenario, even if a coalition or any less formal
kind of arrangement might well not result from that.
Meanwhile, on the other side
of the tracks Michael Gove has become the first senior Conservative to rule out any
kind of deal with Ukip in the event
of another
hung Parliament.
My fall - back hope is that if it's to be just AV at a referendum after the general election, that might still be enough to encourage the reawakening
of some
kind of anti-Tory coalition, with Cameron revealed as the democratic dinosaur he clearly is — enough to deliver at least a
hung parliament.
Not the chaos
of a
hung parliament and drawn out negotiations until some
kind of government is formed.
