As every Kindler knows, Amazon pays you roughly 70 % royalty on
Kindles priced between $ 2.99 and $ 9.99 but 30 % on all other prices.
Amazon kindle price was $ 36.79 so I got a credit for $ 28.82, effectively making the price $ 34.17.
There is every reason to expect that within the next year or two we will be
seeing Kindles priced so low as to make it almost silly not to own one.
Should of done other comparisons with Tablets around
the Kindles Price range like the Coby Kyros.
Several non fiction authors have been priced so high (in one case I found that
the kindle price was higher than the print price) that I won't buy them even though I would otherwise.
My understanding about
the kindle pricing is that amazon actually takes a hit to mark certain kindle books (that are otherwise still in hardcover) down to 9.99 as marketing for the kindle.
