I became quite the little
cookie baker over the
holiday season in 2016, and lucky for all
of us that means that I came up with all
kinds of excuses to eat healthy
cookies!
Personally, I'm a
cookie - any - time -
of - year
kind of gal, but during the
holiday season I'm a
cookie baking machine.
These are just my
kind of cookies, and they hold the spot as my favorite
cookies to make during the
holidays.
Especially because the
holidays are just around the corner and (as you may have noticed) I love making all
kinds of pies,
cookies, and candies.
Also, call us crafty, but «making
holiday cookies» sounds a little fun, and we start to imagine a day spent making all
kinds of beautiful creations that get wrapped up in little boxes and given to friends.
Those famous soft thick bakery sugar
cookies with frosting (seem more like discs
of cake though), the soft chewy ones you make at home to decorate for various
holidays, or those not soft, sad, no flavor, gross
kind of sugar
cookies that kids would bring in on there birthdays in elementary school since their mom thought it was a «healthier» choice than cupcakes.
They are tiny, bite - sized
holiday cookies made with two
kinds of ginger and lots
of shaved chocolate.
I have a
holiday cookie party coming up and want to bring some
kind of cookie that I can eat that is grain, dairy and sugar free.

It always seems like a great idea to make batches
of holiday cookies to give as hostess gifts or share with my friends (or just eat by myself), but when it comes time to actually deliver the goods and make these complicated confections my mind
kind of shuts down and I end up making brownies from a mix or just going to Starbucks and getting a latte instead.
