We love
potatoes of all
kinds, but once
in a while it is a nice change not having them.
Those
potatoes remind me
of the
kinds I had
in England and Germany and miss so much.
I have to admit that I do like a little crumble
in my cookie and I had a hard time getting that the first 3 - 4 times I made this recipe so (I know it
kind of defeats part
of the purpose but...) I added 1/2 c. gluten free flour (Trader Joe's brand, rice &
potato, I think) today.
So, last month, I've had a pleasure
of meeting fellow foodie and a very talented,
kind and amazing human, Aimee from Wallflower Kitchen, who despite suspicious looks from everyone around us
in the cafe, handed me over a brown paper bag with one, beautiful purple sweet
potato inside!
There's just something ridiculously good about eating
potatoes that are covered
in some
kind of dressing.
I'll be the first to admit I'm a meat and
potatoes kind of girl so I wasn't sure how it would go having to try new foods and vegetables, but I was really invested
in giving it a go.
I guess I had
in mind some cold
potatoes I ate once that had a
kind of gluey texture to them.
I looooove Colcannon - or
in my case, whatever the quickest way to mash
potatoes and cabbage / kale possible is -, and I always
kind of wish it could equal a full meal... this is like my dream dinner!
Enriched with two
kinds of cheeses, this gratin is easy to prepare, as it does not call for layering the
potatoes in a baking dish.
i love a good
potato salad when it has all

Seems
kind of obvious because less mass means shorter cooking time, but when you cut the
potato in half, you also get this amazing crispy crust on the face
of the sweet
potato.
There are always some
potatoes in the cellar, some peas
