Your priorities are right, and while we all love reading your
thoughts and adventures and drooling over your
pictures itching to get in the
kitchen, family is first!
Lest you should
think all my summer
kitchen experiments turn out lovely and delicious, let me share a
picture of my second oldest's strawberry birthday cake that I made in early July...
For as long as I can remember, I've wanted an all white
kitchen, but this
picture has me
thinking differently.
I
think you should send the
kitchen fitters a
picture and ask if they want a new designer LOL??!!
If you allow a suggestion, I just
think that would be a fabulous focal point if your horse
picture would stay in the television's wall, in the opposite side of your
kitchen.
Think of the word «volunteers» and you might
picture a group of people so generous that they put aside the fun things in life - say, Xbox games and time on the beach - in favor of spending dull, grinding hours at soup
kitchens and nursing homes.
Take
pictures (get permission first) and try to put an estimate on renovation cost by going to HomeDepot.com or Lowes.com and see how much you
think it'll cost to renovate a
kitchen / bathroom etc..

kitchen renovation and am
thinking of making the wall black;) I
think chalkboard is even an idea that suits my home better as I am using lots of concrete as well THX for sharing;) Desiree
Anywho, I had originally planned to write a post about some
kitchen ideas I had floating around in my head, but I
thought you might get a kick out of seeing
pictures of those lovely rooms instead.
When I saw that before
picture I
thought «hey... wait a minute... I've been in that
kitchen!».
I left a question in the comments section above, but with all your holiday /
kitchen chaos, I
think it got lost in the day:) The
picture shows a wooden star ornament and I wish to know where you got it — hoping that it is not too late in the season.
But I did look at the
kitchen pictures and
think, «What a ridiculous amount of glassware.»
ok I have that space too... but I never
thought of it as an ucky dust filled space... more of an opportunity to accessorize... I have seen other blogs with open cabinetry and baskets up there... but I really like what you did... I'm trying to
picture that now in my
kitchen and I really
think it would make the ceilings look taller — we are
thinking of re-staining our cabinets darker (we have the honey oak popular in the 90's) and that might be a project for the future... thanks for sharing

I still
think the white
kitchens make a pretty
picture but am glad to be rid of mine.
Forgot to mention the hutch on previous post, I
think maybe a white with red knobs, or maybe a sea - foam green would be summery, [just a
thought] do nt know if the green would go in your
kitchen, but I love the light greens, would love to see more
pictures of your lovely home, your such a master decorator, I just love your blog, thanks for all the inspiration..
