There are perhaps as many Indian spice mixes — or masalas — as there are cooks, but here's my modest
attempt at putting down
recipes for some of the most commonly used masalas in Indian
kitchens.
After seeing green tea waffles on the menu of my local cafe, I decided to
attempt this tasty tea - infused
recipe in my own
kitchen using matcha tea powder.

attempt at Eggplant Potato Moussaka with Pine Nut Cream (another
recipe from Isa's Post Punk
Kitchen).

kitchen, I thought they would make a great back drop for my Pumpkin Truffle
recipe photo shoot.
This is one my favorite
recipes and has become a staple in my house... we call it «yellow soup» because the first time i made it there was something of a tumeric explosion in the
kitchen that left yellow stains everyhere... Note to Self ~ do not
attempt elaborate new
recipes while intoxicated....
I had suffered 3
kitchen fails in a row and 2 rather dubious
attempts at other «home» created
recipes.
I often found myself in the
kitchen,
attempting a
recipe for the fourth or fifth time that day, and stopped only stopped working because it was time to go to sleep.
I was planning on using Smitten
Kitchen's
recipe as a guide and
attempting my own GF adjustments but I'm so happy I won't have to.

Seeing as I'm just getting used to my

kitchen, and I've never been really happy with any of them.
My first two
attempts at this
recipe, inspired by Sarah's Life Changing Loaf and Green
Kitchen Stories» bread, were a hot mess.
Although I frequent my favorite vegan restaurants in New York City including Candle 79 and Angelica
Kitchen, I've never
attempted to bring their
recipe ideas home to play with because many of them involve cashew creams and other nut - based substitutes for dairy which scream daunting to me.
It's not a guidebook or how - to, although there is plenty of useful information on wild food plants and methods for harvesting or processing them throughout the book, along with some
recipes and anecdotes from Lerner's early
attempts with wild foods in the
kitchen.
