By the end of the movie viewers will clearly
know who Batman, Wonder Woman,
Aquaman, the Flash and Cyborg are.
Unfortunately,
no matter how much you change his appearance or try to play up his role as King of Atlantis and his responsibility for patrolling the majority of the planet,
Aquaman still sucks.
Bruce meets the ocean - savvy Arthur Curry (Jason Momoa), better
known as
Aquaman, and the superfast teen Barry Allen (Ezra Miller), who goes by The Flash.
Wonder Woman just got a great third trailer which has fans excited and it seems like James Wan's
Aquaman is sailing smoothly with it's production, and we
know all about the drama with The Batman.
Now, we've learned that they've hired a stunt coordinator to work on the action sequences which will be Kyle Gardiner, best
known for his recent work on Thor: Rangarok, Alien: Covenant, Hacksaw Ridge, and
Aquaman all shot in Australia.
Meanwhile, we also have some new casting news, with Power Rangers star Ludi Lin joining the film as Murk, who in DC comic book continuity is the leader of the front - line army of Atlantis
known as the Men - of - War and an ally of
Aquaman (Jason Momoa), although he secretly disobeyed Atlantean law and showed loyalty to Arthur Curry's brother Orm, a.k.a. Ocean Master (Patrick Wilson)...
We don't
know how much Atlantis will be in this movie, but you can expect to see at least Mera again as part of the
Aquaman solo movie.
We were introduced to Cyborg,
Aquaman, and The Flash very briefly in Batman v Superman, but despite a bit more information on each character, Justice League relies on its audience to already
know something about them, which is a mistake given that many non-comic fans are walking into the film without background knowledge on any of the three new characters.
There's a brief scene between
Aquaman and Mera (Amber Heard), but it doesn't tell us much other than they are not yet in a relationship and their statuses in Atlantis not yet what comic fans
know them to be.
And with films like the «Wonder Woman» standalone next year having already established a director, tone, and lead cast, there are others such as «
Aquaman» that still has very little
known about it.
DC only has one film coming out next year so far which is
Aquaman, but for every other core Justice League character, we don't seem to
know much else about their respective films.
While he's now graduated to directing big budget blockbusters like the DCEU entry
Aquaman, James Wan has for many years been primarily
known for his work in the horror genre, and for good reason.
Even those who disliked Justice League, they loved Jason Momoa's performance as Arthur Curry, better
known as
Aquaman.
The upcoming film is being directed by James Wan (
known for the first Saw film and the Conjuring series) and stars Amber Heard as Mera, the love - interest of
Aquaman.
Director Jay Oliva has assembled a terrific voice cast that includes fan favourites Kevin Conroy (Batman: The Animated Series) as normal universe Batman and Dana Delaney (Justice League Unlimited) as Lois Lane, alongside some big - name guest stars, such as Cary Elwes (
Aquaman), Ron Perlman (Deathstroke), Danny Huston (General Lane) and, in a delightfully
knowing piece of stunt casting, Nathan Fillion as Green Lantern.
Since retaking the throne of Atlantis in the wake of his half - brother's invasion of the surface world, Arthur Curry — better
known to the world at large as
Aquaman — has faced adversity on multiple fronts.
DC Comics produces comic books featuring a large number of well -
known characters, including Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Robin,
Aquaman, Green Arrow, Green Lantern, and the Flash, and such antagonists as Lex Luthor, the Joker, the Riddler, Mr. Freeze, Bane, Catwoman, the Penguin, and Two - Face.
