No I think it's great that you mentioned the budgeting aspect because I think that's something that people that either first time adopting an animal or even if they've adopted before and they're just getting a second or a third they don't really stop to think
about how important that is, that it's not just the adoption fee and the food and the collar and the leash but you have to think
about heartworm prevention, flea and tick prevention, all the yearly shots that come up and all of that stuff, emergency vet care.
Luckily,
heartworm disease is preventable and the more you
know about the disease, the more prepared you will be should your pet become infected.
The
KNOW Heartworms campaign will educate veterinarians and cat owners
about the real threat of the disease and the importance of prevention.
