you know about home birth midwifery in the US?
There are many questions that people want to
know about home birth as it actually plays out rather than the mere philosophy of the setting of birth.

I didn't even
know how to go
about finding a midwife who would attend a
home birth (Direct Entry Midwives, those who usually attend
home births, can not legally practice in my state, making finding care a bit more challenging).

know about cortisol levels, you can compare the two environments (
home birth and hospital
birth) and figure out in which place the cortisol level would be lower, for obvious reasons.
Our issue is the lies that MANA and others are telling to women, most of whom would not choose
home birth if they
knew the facts
about the risks.
At the time the only thing I
knew about the NCB movement was that two of my less - close friends had had

At the time all I was worried
about was his survival, but as he grew and we
knew he would be coming
home with us someday, I started to think
about how to let go of my
birth plans but keep the intention — to be a natural parent, even to a preemie.
