know I love
open shelves (update, you can see our
kitchen remodel here!).
I don't
know what you've done in this room, since this was first posted, but I agree with removing as much wall as possible between the dining room &
kitchen would really
open it up.
Someday, perhaps not in this
kitchen since we may be moving soon, I will have some
open shelves, I just love the look too much... and maybe, just maybe, if it is
open he will put stuff back where it belongs... I
know, I'm dreaming.
I
know I've shared probably a million different ways we could set up this dining room, and ways to
open the wall or enlarge the doorway to the
kitchen (if we decide not to completely
open the wall, the archway idea is still a strong contender!).
As we look forward to a move, I
know that I want a large
open space for entertaining lots of people and a
kitchen that is large enough for two people to not be on top of each other.
I would love to
know how people with
open cabinets / shelves AND cats deal with this in their
kitchen?
When we designed our
kitchen, I
knew I wanted
open shelves.
From the time we started designing our house I
knew I wanted some
open shelving in the
kitchen.
The entire space feels so much more
open — the flow from room to room now is smooth as butter and this
kitchen no longer stops you in your tracks for the wrong reasons!
If you've seen some of my other tours, then you
know that my
kitchen is
open to both my living room and dining room.
By now I'm sure you all
know how much of a fan I am of
open shelving, after adding a whole wall to our
kitchen (above).
I
know it's sometimes ideal to remove walls for a more
open floor plan or larger
kitchen, but after living with our small
kitchen now for about 8 weeks I have to say I'm SO glad we didn't remove walls.
