doula, she should help you to create a birth plan, also
known as a birth preferences list.

doula,» a
doula who has gotten to
know your child (just
as a
doula gets to
know the family and their intent in the birthing process) before the birth and then comes once active labor begins to «hold space» specifically for your child.

We
know human breast milk is best for babies, and
as a premier
doula agency in Tulsa, we fully support it, and we also
know that even with the best lactation support and all the knowledge in the world some women will be unable to breastfeed for one reason or another.
In our experience
as sibling and postpartum
doulas, we also
know that this transition can sometimes come with a little stress and anxiety about how your older child may adjust to their new baby.
As the organization grew and the role of the
doula spread world - wide, it became clear that DONA was
no longer
Doulas of North America, but instead was an International organization.

known as «mothering the mother,» practiced by

Any family member can play this role, but postpartum
