I've always wanted to get into it
as a
sugar substitute,
knowing that it's totally natural, free of calories, and a zero on the glycemic index, but I just can not get used to its potent, powerful flavor (when extracted it's something like 200 times sweeter than
sugar!).
Do you
know how I could
substitute with natural
sugars / or other fruit (for e.g. honey,, blueberries etc.),
as I would like to make this diabetic friendly.
I
know this isn't flagged
as a Candida diet recipe, but would I be right in thinking that
substituting clementines and cranberries for the usual dried fruits would significantly lower yeast and
sugar content?
It's good to
know coconut
sugar exists,
as it seems one of the most nutritional
sugar substitutes (there really is no excuse for using refined
sugar in baking ever again!).

as it soon became
known as Nancy's Pies Inc., after Coin's wife.
Not sure how stevia would work because
sugar is a wet ingredient and I've not baked enough with stevia to
know how it translates
as a
sugar substitute.
I've since found out they offer freeze pops (
sugar, water, food coloring)
as a form of hydration, occasionally
substitute her afternoon snack with «Special Treats» when they're doing a group activity like watching a movie, vanilla wafers...
as early
as 9:30 am, donut holes when supplied by a generous parent who tends to do it nearly weekly, and then birthday and holiday party treats (which I
knew about but have concerns about frequency and being informed when it's happening so I can adjust her other meals accordingly).
