With a diameter of about 1,215 km, the France - sized moon is one of largest
known objects in the Kuiper Belt, the region of icy,
rocky bodies beyond Neptune.
The
rocky body is also the fastest
known, whipping around its star in less than a day.
This is the first time a white dwarf with nitrogen has been discovered, and one of only a few
known examples of white dwarfs that have been impacted by a
rocky body that was rich in water ice.
What I would desperately like to
know is whether or not it has the small
rocky bodies on the inside too.
