"kohlrabi" comes from German, where "kohl" means cabbage and "rabi" means turnip.

I don't do well with cauliflower at all unfortunately,

Fittingly, the name
kohlrabi comes from the German word kohl (cabbage) and Swiss German word rabi (turnip).
Combine kohlrabi or fennel, cabbage, cherries, sunflower seeds and dill in a large serving bowl.
Toss kohlrabi, apple, lemon zest, lemon juice, and vinegar in a medium bowl; season with salt.
Last but not least was the salad I made that was supposed to
contain kohlrabi which I could not find at my local Whole Foods, so I substituted fennel.
