labor day thing, I'm wearing white shoes right now!
My business is apart of the health / fitness industry and with holidays like
Labor Day things get a little nuts around here!

It's one
thing in a
labor camp: You break your back the livelong
day and, just as you lay your head on a straw pillow, you hear: «U-u-u-up you get!»

I have a lot of
things to celebrate / mourn this week:
Labor day weekend!
Because it's
Labor Day weekend and food is just about the number one
thing on everyone's mind.
I grew up in New Jersey, where summer is alllll about seafood, which was the first
thing that came to my mind when I thought about food I'd like to see at a
Labor Day party.
Totally feel you on the smores for bday
thing — my birthday is always over
Labor Day and I'm usually pushing for a camping trip.
Little J's baby book had a place for what we were doing when I went into
labor, how long I was in
labor for, how much weight I gained, pretty much general birth
things, and then it also had a place for
things like headlines from the
day, most popular songs, popular actors and athletes, world leaders, and average prices.
As we celebrate
Labor Day, the unofficial last weekend of summer, I thought I'd just share with you a few of the
things to pack to make sure you are always prepared for unpredictable end of summer weather.
It's one
thing to plan for an elective C - section, but it's a whole other
thing to have to do TWO
labors on one
day.
The client who drank raspberry lead tea every
day and followed a strict diet may have had an easy fast
labor because of those
things or (more likely) it was simply how
things happened to unfold.
I learned
things about myself through the pregnancy,
labor, and the
days that followed.
If you are paying attention to your body, and notice the subtle changes that may take place
days before active
labor begins, you will be ready for the real
thing when it happens.

things, I have had some
labor, early
labor the
day before with nothing really happening and my midwife has come over to take me and put me in a peace of mind and say «You know just let it happen, your baby is still early and don't worry about the
things that are progressing on the time when I wanted.»
But even if it's been hours or
days since you slept, your arms are about to fall off from all that hip squeezing to help her cope with back
labor, and you feel pretty damn shocked and stunned about what you've just been through, it can be so meaningful and nice to remember to do one
thing.
Either they start suddenly and are really forceful and short (6 - 8 hours from start to finish doesn't seem uncommon) so it's like having your first
labor condensed into half or less of the time, or else you have on - off
labor for
days that annoys you and makes you think the baby is never actually going to come out but then all of a sudden
things turn around and the baby's out in 1 - 3 hours.
Connection: I'm sure it isn't the first
thing on anyone's mind when they think about having a baby and all, but truth be told, the actual
labor and arrival of a child into this world is a magnificent opportunity for the two people who created him or her to cash in on the kind of bonding that happens across the course of that special
day, maybe even across just a few hours, but that perseveres and lasts for the rest of a lifetime.
Labor bags are important, because without them, women may not have really essential
things that they need in the first few
days after giving birth.
In fact,
things are just starting to heat up in this race as
Labor Day approaches.
Trump will be slapped around frequently (like he was in last weeks foreign policy speech) and this
thing will be over by
Labor Day.
The Garfield County Museum, (garfieldcounty.com/museum.html), open daily between June 1 and
Labor Day, is chock - full of all
things dino.
For one
thing, today is
Labor Day!
Who knows if the
labor day tea was a coincidence as I was 3
days overdue, but it seemed to kick
things into gear considering he hadn't dropped and I hadn't had any
labor signs in the preceding weeks.
One
thing I've definitely figured out, though, is that my prodromal
labor starts each
day after a round of love - making with my husband (This may be TMI but it only results in prodromal
labor if he doesn't pull out).
If y ’ all have been following for a while, y ’ all know there is one
thing I don't give 2 flying birds about, and that's wearing white after
Labor Day.

By the way the whole «no white after
Labor day»
thing is ridiculous, in my opinion.
I keep meaning to bust out the mustard yellows and the plummy purples and the moody reds, but so far I've been wearing a lot of white after
Labor Day like a bad bitch —
Labor Day isn't a
thing here in the UK, so it doesn't matter, but even if I was I still would not give up my white cardigans for anyone.
I've never been one to follow the whole, «no white after
Labor Day»
thing.
White jeans during the fall are still one of my favorite
things to wear so I definitely don't abide by the old fashion rule, no white after
labor day... pshhhh!
Oh, and one last
thing: toss the silly rule regarding «No White after
Labor Day».
I've been picking up a few
things for an upcoming trip I'm taking after
Labor Day (did you catch where I was headed on Instagram this week?)
I'm starting my September list of
things to do, and I actually spent the entire
Labor Day weekend painting some
things I had in my house for many years.
The white after
Labor Day rule is a
thing of the past, so I totally think you can rock these white pumps all year round.
White clothing and accessories used to only show up between Memorial
Day and
Labor Day, but
things have changed dramatically.
Aside from the
day off, another fantastic thing about Labor Day is all the sal
day off, another fantastic
thing about
Labor Day is all the sal
Day is all the sales!
So for now I leave you with more than a few pretty
things that may have jumped from my wishlist onto yours — it's the perfect time to take advantage of all of those
Labor Day sales!

Labor Day» rule is kind of like a metaphor for a lot of
things that have to do with summer ending.

One
thing's for sure, TIFF continues to lead the Fall festival pack, and although Telluride's lineup won't be revealed until
Labor Day weekend, TIFF continues to be the launching platform for awards season, and this year looks as promising as any.
Fortunately for us, counter-programming is a beautiful
thing, and while the multiplexes may be a war zone from now until
Labor Day, the smaller movie theaters out there are going to be bustling with indie movies and some of the best foreign films as of late.
About that pie: it's the main
thing viewers have talked about since «
Labor Day» premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival and had a quick run in theaters in late December to qualify for awards consideration.
Would
things change drastically if Miller left his comfort zone, as Reitman did with
Labor Day?
