cause of Tinnitus is still not fully understood but it is established that it is a symptom generated within a person's own auditory pathways as a result of hearing defects including infection, a blocked ear canal or eustachian tube, otosclerosis (overgrowth of bone in the middle ear),
labyrinthitis and Meniere's disease.
