We need better though but I'm in full 100 % support
of the purchase
of Shkrodan Mustafi and Lucas Perez.Mustafi can help Koscielny now.I've been saying it here time and time again that it's not a
world clsss
striker we have needed but a clinical finisher which we have
lacked for several seasons and counting.Hopefully this guy puts Giroud where he belongs which is on the bench.Though a
world class striker is good what we have
lacked is someone who puts the game to bed in clinical fashion but Arsene Wenger has listened to many people to the extent that if he can't get a
world class striker then he can get anyone. If Arsenal had a clinical finisher for some five seasons or so we coulda won the EPL then.Giroud has cost us matches and will continue to cost us matches.Giroud is half decent as someone said here the last time.I expect Perez to be much better if he can take on his man and be clinical in front
of goal.
We have No
world class striker which is what ALL teams who are challenging for silverware have and MOST TELLING
OF ALL we are not seeking to buy these players in that we
lack and are not seeking to rearrange a team that at present is not cutting the mustard.
I complained about our
lack of transfer activities in the area
of world class striker and solid defender but I was thumbed down by some folks on this platform.
Up front we have a few
world -
class players surrounded by some serious pretenders... Sanchez is by far the most accomplished player in our attack but the controversy surrounding his contractual mishandling could see him go before the window closes or most definitely by season's end... obviously a mistake by both parties involved, as Sanchez's exploits have never been more on display than in North London, but the club's irresponsible wage structure and
lack of real intent have been the real undoing in this mess... Lacazette, who I think has some
world -
class skills as a front man, will only be as good as the players and system around him, which is troubling due to our current roster and Wenger's love
of sideways passing... Walcott should have been sold years ago, enough said, and Welbeck should never have been brought in from the get - go... both
of these players have suffered numerous injuries over their respective careers and neither are good enough to overcome such difficulties: not to mention, they both are below average first - touch players, which should be the baseline test for any player coming to a Wenger - led Arsenal team... Perez should have been played wide left or never purchased at all; what a huge waste
of time and money, which is ridiculous considering our penny pinching ways and the fact that fans had been clamoring for a real
striker for years... finally Giroud, the fact that he stills wears the jersey is a direct indictment
of this club's failure to get things right... this isn't necessarily an attack on Giroud because I think he has some highly valued skills, but not for a team that has struggled to take their sideways soccer to the next level, as his presence slows their game even more, combined with our average, at best, finishing skills... far too often those in charge have either settled or chosen half - measures and ultimately it is us that suffer because no matter what happens Wenger, Gazidis and Kroenke will always make more money whereas we will always be the ones paying for their mistakes... so every time someone suggests we should just shut - up and support the team just think
of all the sacrifices you've made along the way and simply reply... f *** off
Should this even be a topic?Giroud is a player
of average quality always surrounded by good players.I just don't get. It's as if only Arsenal fans rate him. This was a player who was bought to be the leading
striker at Arsenal and after his years
of failure which many deny he's now become a super sub?How laughable is that. From failure to super sub.If the so called
world class striker we're signing goes out with an injury for about five months who comes in then.It seems to me people
lack vision. Why is it always Giroud Giroud Giroud? After so many seasons people are still debating what souldn't even be debatable.I've lost count
of the number
of times he's been talked about here. This is the problem with our club. It's just not ruthless. This is a player who should have been gone long ago but due to him being French he still gets the chances. We won't miss him when he goes and I'd like to see if he'd stand out in a smaller club.
Similarly our «front 5» options
of ozil sanchez walcott giroud cazorla Ramsey wilshire rosicky chamberlain arteta welbeck gnabry akpom campbell podolski zelalem sanogo give us some real depth, but we severely
lack that
World class striker, that title winning teams always seem to have.
Hahaha that's very true.At times you get the feeling that even we don't know what we want. However, the
strikers Arsenal should be targetting are: Lukaku, Aubameyang, Belotti and Chiharito if everything fails. All these players would improve us massively in terms
of goalscoring and to me they are all worth their prices.I also feel Arsene Wenger doesn't know what he wants that's why he ends up panic buying as usual.I wouldn't be angry at all if he signs only one player and that is a
world class striker. We have quality in the other positions but the players just
lack form.As for the CF role we have no quality.Wenger should wake up for once. This is his chanceto pounce for Aubameyang.

lacked the quality
of a
world -
class striker.
Kokorin, Denis sheryshev and Yarmolenko will be huge upgrade compare to Theo + giroud combine those are quality
strikers and perfect age group spending 45mil plus to Benzema and Cavani is not very smart business beacuse
of age — you got ta be quality

world class something Theo
lacks!!
even when he suffered a serious knee injury, instead
of accepting the fact that he would never stick his legs into the spaces that were crucial for someone with straight ahead speed to succeed, the club actually contemplated giving him a chance to play up top where his
lack of physicality, size and holding up play talents would been on display for all to see... these are not the actions
of a club that really cares about winning at the highest levels, but they are the actions
of a club that wasn't interested in spending the necessary resources to purchases a
world -
class striker, which is usually the most expensive position on the pitch... instead we adopted the horrible phrase «like a new signing» and proceeded to allow this ridiculous experiment to carry on, which ultimately caused some discomfort on the training pitch and inside the locker room as players battled for a position that shouldn't have been theirs for the taking in the first place... don't get me wrong, I believe that Walcott is a talented player, who can help a team reach their goals, if their goals are relatively modest... just look at the teams who supposedly expressed interest in his services and they weren't the kind
of clubs who aspire to win at the highest levels... as for the reasons why he hasn't been bitching and moaning about moving on just look at the wage benefits he receives from our club and his obvious desire to enjoy the societal advantages that come with playing in North London for a club with worldwide appeal... so instead
of continuing to try to fix a coat with a broken zipper simply move on and buy a new and better coat
Nothing like one underachiever blowing smoke up the ass
of another... we know that Ozil has some incredible technical gifts, but to be considered the best you have to bring more than just assists to the table... for me, a top player has to possess a more well - rounded game, which doesn't mean they need to be a beast on both ends
of the pitch, but they must have the ability to take their game to another level when it matters most... although he amassed some record - like stats early on, it set the bar too high, so when people expected him to duplicate those numbers each year the pressure seemed to get the best
of our soft - spoken star... obviously that's not an excuse for what has happened in the meantime, but it's important to make note
of a few things: (1) his best year was a transition year for many
of the traditionally dominant teams in the EPL, so that clearly made the numbers appear better than they actually were and (2) Wenger's system, or
lack thereof, didn't do him any favours; by playing him out
of position and by not acquiring
world -
class striker and / or right - side forward that would best fit an Ozil - centered offensive scheme certainly hurt his chances to repeat his earlier peformances, (3) the loss
of Cazorla, who took a lot
of pressure off Ozil in the midfield and was highly efficient when it came to getting him the ball in space, negatively impacted his effectiveness and (4) he likewise missed a good chunk
of games and frankly never looked himself when he eventually returned to the field... overall the Ozil experiment has had mixed reviews and rightfully so, but I do have some empathy for the man because he has always carried himself the same way, whether for Real or the German National team, yet he has only suffered any lengthy down periods with Arsenal... to me that goes directly to this club's inability to surround him with the necessary players to succeed, especially for someone who is a pass first type
of player; as such, this simply highlights our club's ineffective and antiquated transfer policies... frankly I'm disappointed in both Ozil and our management team for not stepping up when it counted because they had a chance to do something special, but they didn't have it in them... there is no one that better exemplifies our recent history than Ozil, brief moments
of greatness undercut by long periods
of disappointing play, only made worse by his mopey posturing like a younger slightly less awkward Wenger... what a terribly waste
A lot has been made
of Arsenal's
lack of a

I would go for Javier Hernandez. The guy still has it in him. He's also better than Giroud and Welbeck as he's more reliable and can finish.Arsenal just need a
striker who can consistently finish off the chances. He's also very fast and has good dribbling abilities.Just look at how he destroyed Portugal yesterday.I would urge all
of you to take a close look at him if you think he's rubbish. We've just
lacked a consistent clinical and reliable
striker.It's not even about
world class.
Giroud and Walcott are good
strikers in their own right, they provide a completely different set
of skills which can be used strategically against certain teams, but I think Arsenal still
lack that one ALL ROUND
world class striker.

class striker and we
lack the finishing

world class to fill his space.SLy too slow (age), all we need 3 inclusion that will energize the team.
