It is heartbreaking when I hear of the terrible advice
given in hospitals by people that are not
lactation consultants, by paediatricians who know barely anything about human
lactation, and by well - meaning family and friends who just don't have the correct information.
It's important to remember, that unless you are talking to a certified
lactation consultant, or maybe a midwife or doula, a doctor may only be
giving you their biased opinion on breastfeeding.
All of the advice I could
give has been mentioned above (read while you pump, get your butt to see a
lactation consultant, etc.)....

These women are often ignored by doctors,
given the brushoff by old - school
lactation consultants, and essentially left to fend for themselves.

lactation consultant or an experienced midwife is a really good way to shorten this tough time and to not have Mom simply

lactation consultants and other actual breastfeeding experts don't typically go around
giving drive - by expert breastfeeding advice so, chances are, if someone is randomly trying to tell you your business while you're trying to breastfeed your baby, they probably don't have a clue what they're talking about.
The hospital sent
