The product can't legally be called milk, however, because FDA has standards of identity that specifically define milk as
lacteal secretions from a cow.
Specialized lymph vessels,
called lacteals, absorb ingested fats and assist in protein distribution.
That federal standard is currently defined as the «
lacteal secretions from cows,» which could also prevent alternative mammal milks, like goat and sheep, buffalo, or camel milk from being labeled as milk as well.
The petition notes, «No one is purchasing plant - based milk, cheese, or yogurt because they've been tricked into thinking it's a cow's «
lacteal secretions.
The trains and buses are
the lacteals and capillaries of the lymphatic and vascular systems but only people with tickets can get on and ride.
Notice that the villi also contain the capillary bed and
lacteals — this is the transport system we talked about earlier.
The pressure can also cause
the lacteals to rupture.
