In Orland Park, planners are trying to piece together a greenbelt that would offer a mix of open space
along creeks, cemeteries, parks, detention ponds and even the grassy
land along the right of way of Commonwealth Edison main power lines.
There are substantial wetland and forested areas
along the
creek corridor in the northern watershed, while the southern watershed is characterized by urban
land use.
If I were coming here new I would look at living in north Pinellas (Dunedin, Safety Harbor or Tarpon Springs, maybe some areas of unincorporated
lands along the various
creeks) and owning investment properties in mid-pinellas (Clearwater, Largo, Pinellas Park).
