The best thing about USB PD is that it could spell the end of the proprietary
laptop power brick.

Between the bulk of a business
laptop and the clutter of cables and
power bricks, there's generally not a lot of room left for niceties.
The hefty
power brick doesn't help, and you're certainly going to need it unless you only need the
laptop for short stints as we'll see later on.
