The current study combines data from five clinical trials involving a total of 1,287 people, including the SWIFT PRIME trial led by Saver, that show these devices improved outcomes for people with acute
ischemic strokes due to
large vessel blockage.
For example, in a study of adults enrolled in Kaiser Permanente, a
large California health maintenance organization, questionnaire responses to items assessing abuse and dysfunction in the early family environment predicted multiple health disorders in adulthood in dose — response fashion, including
ischemic heart disease, any cancer, depression, and
stroke (14).
