For his most recent exhibition, which ended last month at David Kordansky Gallery in Los Angeles, he presented found images, like a set of early headshots of the actor Anthony Perkins smiling while holding an armful of milk and juice cartons, as well as a set of charcoal drawings presented alongside small sculptures that looked like bed frames.

Last night, the PRISM gallery on the Sunset Strip hosted a group exhibition «Come As You Are» in conjunction with New Image Art and RVCA.

«I've become used to that dopamine release from likes and comments,» Cortright admits.And even if Prince's social media feed feels like an endless stream of schadenfreude — when the artist, who is in his 60s, printed his Instagram images onto canvas and presented his «New Portraits» at Gagosian Gallery in uptown Manhattan last year, a younger artist tweeted, «Watching Richard Prince do Instagram is like watching your dad try to rap» — it's notable that even he has embraced the idea that much of what is worth viewing in the art world is available online.

Now as a follow - up, McGinness and the museum will open «Studio Visit» on January 25, 2014, a three - part exhibition, the first gallery will provide a glimpse of McGinness's studio practice, the second will display a selection of the objects McGinness chose from the museum collection alongside his sketches and final image, and the last portion will show early works the artist made while growing up in Virginia Beach.

Dwyer Kilcollin, b. 1983, lives in Los Angeles Manipulating 2D imagery via algorithm, Kilcollin has garnered attention for her hand - cast relief sculptures that fuse the virtual and material worlds — like her sculptures that recently graced a hillside of Los Angeles and M+B Gallery, where images of city views took the shape of a book, binoculars, and a sweater, or the backpacks she debuted at the Armory Show last spring.

Recognised internationally as one of the most important and pioneering contemporary artists, the work of James Coleman over the last forty years has transformed the role of image and sound in visual art, and redefined our relationship with the artworks we see today in museums and galleries around the world.

Last year I was in the downstairs gallery at the legendary Salmagundi Art Club on Fifth Avenue, and was not surprised to see that all the paintings, each a figurative image and made within the previous year, had been artfully signed by the artists.

Opening during Frieze week this October, this ambitious exhibition — featuring a range of historical and recent works by Nathalie Djurberg and Hans Berg, Ryan Gander, Rodney Graham, Susan Hiller, Shirazeh Houshiary, Richard Long and Stanley Whitney (among others to be announced) in a variety of media, as well as many commissioned works on a large scale — will be staged at London's most dynamic new space, The Store Studios, 180 The Strand, host of last year's blockbuster exhibition jointly staged by the Hayward Gallery and The Vinyl Factory, «The Infinite Mix: Contemporary Sound and Image.»

His last solo show in San Antonio was «With Ants,» an exhibit of found images he altered with drawings of ants, at Fl!ght Gallery in 2010.

«Picasso and Jacqueline: The Evolution of Style,» the doubleheader mounted by the Pace Gallery in its spaces on East 57th Street and West 25th Street, marshals paintings, drawings, prints, and sculpture to explore the changing image of Jacqueline, Picasso's second wife and last great love, whose dark, compact beauty dominated his art in his final twenty years.
