Most
of the Christian bloggers I know personally have either taken a sabbatical or stopped
blogging in the
last two
years.
This
year's event was held
last month in Toronto and has,
of course, been
blogged here at PoMoCon.
About midway through
last year, it suddenly dawned on me that it's not my job to generated seven days
of content for readers all on my own, but that, in addition to posting my own thoughts, I can use my
blogging platform to feature news stories, links, interviews, discussions, guest posts, and videos that would be
of interest to you!
While I've already
blogged a recipe for Nankhatai
last year, this one is all the more festive due to the addition
of saffron.
I have found that I feel less that way in the
last few
years, since I have been
blogging, since I know that the recipe (and the image
of the finished product) lives on, either on the blog or in a cookbook.

of last year), and was glad to put a real live face to a name for peeps like Eat Play Love (Denise), The Casual Perfectionist (JoAnn), Gwen Bell (the organizer
of the event), Weebles Wobblog (Lori), and This Mama Cooks (Anne - Marie).

Last year, as a
blogging friend
of mine and I sat at home on our computers attending BlogHer in Second Life instead BlogHer in real life in San Francisco, we made a pact that we would do whatever it takes to get us to the BlogHer Conference in 2009.
But you know what, I have learned some amazing stuff over the

of years of this
blogging nonsense!
For the

years, I have issued a
blogging challenge during National Adoption Awareness Month as a kind
of blogging blitz.

blogging last year because
of all
of you!
The Ultimate Blog Party was one
of the first events I participated in
last year when I first started
blogging.
I missed it
last year since
of course I only started
blogging this
year.
Like
last year, Mike Kane, the veteran turf writer and former communications director for the National Racing Hall
of Fame will be doing the lion's share
of the
blogging with a focus on the racing.
After three and a half
years or so as a part
of the SciAm
blogging network, this my
last post as a dedicated blog at Scientific American.
Last year I
blogged about the surprising discovery that mosses released after 400
years of frozen glacial ensquashment had managed to survive and sprout new growth, a finding that radically altered our ideas about regrowth during the retreat
of ice ages.
In contrast, the same researchers studied leg muscles (tibialis anterior) in a similar group
of volunteers
last year (as I
blogged about here)-- in that case, the older runners did preserve the number
of motor units.
Last year I
blogged about some cool findings from the University
of Cape Town on a gene called COL5A1, a certain variant
of which seems to predispose people to be (a) inflexible and (b) efficient distance runners.
Blogging has been so spotty these
last few crazy weeks (I'm sowwy), but now I'm ready to kick off a jam - packed
year of awesome posts, starting with this 20 - minute kettlebell swing core workout.
I met Nicole
of Cedar & Rush at a
blogging event a couple
of years ago and Kelly from Just Browsing at our Sullivan's event
last year.
I am just like you — i started
blogging last year in April and I couldn't put all my energy into it because
of my exams etc..
I had time to assess most
of the challenges i faced while
blogging last year with the majority related to time management, blog content management and sharing.
After
blogging pretty much daily for almost five
of those
years, the
last year and a half or so I've really changed things up, I've
blogged a little less frequently but really tried to up the quality
of what I'm sharing and focussed on not only trying to make content you enjoy, but content that maybe adds some value too!
I already feel so refreshed after taking a small break from work and
blogging at the end
of the
last year for the holidays and new
year.
Last year, our chill
blogging group that goes by the name
of Peaceful Posse launched a monthly link up called Mantras, Goals & Currently.
Last year in December was when I decided to take a leap
of faith and pursue
blogging full time.
Today's outfit includes a striped button down and jeans that I
blogged last week to prove the point that this classic duo will be on heavy repeat this fall, but paired with different shoes, bags and accessories to create lots
of different looks to get you through this busy time
of year with no stress about what to wear.
Although I have
blogged for several
years on my previous blog Junkaholics Unanimous,
last Christmas I was in the process
of transitioning to Follow The Yellow Brick Home and did not post a Christmas tour.
My
last post was generally about my feelings towards one
year of blogging.
Each summer, I cut back a little on
blogging from June through August in order to squeeze every
last drop out
of this time
of the
year.
I actually got it
last year during our trip to Nashville and it has been one
of my go - to's ever since and realized I still never
blogged it!
The logo is the fun bit, mine went through many variations over 5
years of blogging this one has stayed for the
last 2
years and I like it!
And, yes, I am JUST getting around to
blogging about her sweet tea party that we threw her in honor
of her second birthday
last year.
Now, I want you to know that our table has since moved from our kitchen to our living area, but this is still one
of my favorite (and most affordable) tablescapes in the
last 5
years of my
blogging career.
Speaking
of fall and Halloween I wanted to share with you one
of my skull scarves that was gifted to me
last year from a good
blogging friend named Whitney.
In December
last year I started
blogging about my personal style and my love
of fashion.
I have met SO many rockstar women, moms, entrepreneurs and straight up hustlers in the
last year that after 8
years of blogging, I am even more inspired than ever to keep creating content and hopefully leave some inspiration here for YOU.
