It's not something I'm exactly happy to be expecting, but at its heart the reason is the same this year as it was
last year — too much expectation and
hype for any
game to live up to the price tag.

last minute, avoids revealing actual sales figures, masters of pr spin, constantly re iterates the same three ip until even hardcore fans are bored of them (which is why forza, halo and gear sales have been declining recently), use backwards compatibility to bloat their barren library of
games, piss developers of so much that non want to work
