After appearing as a
late substitute
against Burnley in early April, the
former Southampton man has not featured for the first
team since and didn't make the squad for the FA Cup final
against Aston Villa last month.
And so within two years of being expendable he become such a valued member of
former manager Brendan Rodgers's title - chasing
team that it was his sending off in the last second of a victory
against City that probably turned the title race and unbalanced the
team as much as Steven Gerrard's slip
against Chelsea two weeks
later for which Henderson was suspended.
