Many
of John's early memories are
of the sights and smells
of his mother's oil studio but he only fell in
love with
art in the
late 1990s with a visit to the Met in New York.

love of atmospheric perspective,
later emulated by the Impressionists, with a sense
of awe before nature that the Modernists would have ill - countenanced.

Art» focuses on her newest painting series «My Eternal Soul» and the series entitled «
Love Forever», a collection
of black and white drawings that formed the precursor to Kusama's
latest series.
The first, shown at the 2009 Wallace Collection exhibition «No
Love Lost: Blue Paintings,» was described as «not worth looking at» by The Independent, while the
later canvases shown in the 2012 «Two Weeks One Summer» exhibition at the White Cube gallery were called «abominations unto the lord
of art» by The Guardian.
The
latest — a bright panoply
of Op
Art, shaped paintings and stained canvases — features artists known, sort
of and not at all, including Richard Anuszkiewicz, Alvin
Loving Jr., Paul Jenkins, Julian Stanczak and Bill Komodore.
I mentioned earlier, I grew up in a very creative environment, but I didn't grow up going to museums or really seeing a lot
of art, so I kind
of came to it a little
later, and I just
