Not exact matches
An excellent
puzzle game that definitely draws inspiration from other classics in the genre such as Portal and The Talos Principle (there are even a few direct nods to the
latter if you look close enough).
Other than the
latter, unlike most Mario
games,
puzzle games do not have items.
In my opinion, this is one of the best match - 3 /
puzzle games on the platform, and in many ways You Must Build A Boat feels like the sequel to Dungeon Raid that we never got - which is even more pertinent considering the
latter game's demise at the hands of iOS 11.
Mainly you feel you're constantly doing something different, wolf, dungeon, horse,
puzzle etc. are better paced than Skyward Sword and the
latter game isn't as tedious as the Windwaker.
The
latter is used on one of the
game's larger dungeons for
puzzle solving, similar to what you find in Zelda.
While the first half of the
game is about surviving pursuing horrors and hiding from them while solving
puzzles and opening doors, the
latter half of the
game becomes more action - oriented as players will get access to stronger weapons that will give players a standing chance against the Molded and other threats.
This is, unfortunately, in line with Nintendo of America's
puzzling attitude towards Monolith Software
games in the last few years, refusing to release stateside even
games already localised for Europe such as Disaster Day of Crisis and Xenoblade Chronicles — although complaints from
gamers apparently managed to get Nintendo of America to eventually agree to commercialise the
latter, albeit in a very limited release form.
