I'm always expected to
laugh and shrug it off, but I'm not sure which irritates me more
about that question: the fact that it is so rude, or the fact that it has been so overly used in recent years to underhandedly shame me as a breastfeeding mother that there is nothing
intelligent or funny
about it.

The film can't quite make up its mind
about Franco's Holy Fool character, either; we're meant to
laugh at his naïveté and his malapropisms at one moment, then we find out he's a resident in a group home so we can admire his can - do attitude, and later it's revealed that he has made valuable and
intelligent contributions to the sales report even though he never indicates in conversation that he understands anything
about the deal.
I rarely find movies
about kids to be genuinely funny (they're usually full of corny - cute gags), but The Kings of Summer has an
intelligent, razor - sharp wit and embraces the bizarre with such fearlessness that it had me
laughing every step of the way.
