law library collection, controversies surrounding print vs digital formats, and possible policies for collecting them.

I am interested by recent discussions I have had with librarians at various
law libraries about how they make decisions about what
materials to keep, cancel, or discard.
With convenient course casebooks doing the search work for you and the multitude of
materials available online, the
law library can become little more than a social space or quiet environment for exam - time cramming after that first encounter.

materials that would probably not be found currently in a Canadian

AALL's New Product Award recognizes new commercial information products that enhance or improve existing
law library services or procedures, or products that improve access to legal information, the legal research process, or procedures for the technical processing of
library materials.
And for the
law library crew here at Slaw, a new dedicated section on
library trends should make accessing these
materials a touch easier.
This
library is well off for old
law reports but many are not and I wondered if any SLAWers had thoughts about agitating to see more of this
material made available online.

law libraries (including at my own organization) may be at the stage to free up close to 2 long rows of this
material in print (assuming the online versions to be reliable and easy - to - use).
Yale
law library's Open Access publishing initiative produces enormous download rates for its authors, and makes the
material available to scholars and others all over the world, without regard to their location or their institution's budgetary priorities.
The bar examiners give you a file, which contains the instructions and simulated
law office
materials like letters and transcripts of interviews, plus a
library of research
materials.
