The new
law builds on key areas of progress
in recent years, made possible by the efforts of educators, communities, parents, and
students across the country.
So how can states
build on the research base and knowledge regarding high - quality assessments
in order to design systems that do not just meet the requirements of federal
law but actually drive
student learning to a higher level — especially for
students from marginalized communities?
HARTFORD, CT. —
Students, parents and clergy will gather on the north steps of the Capitol

in last year's education reform
law (Public Act 12 - 116).
Before federal education officials exempted Indiana from the national accountability
law, schools tracked the performance of
students in every socioeconomic and ethnic «subgroup»

And considering the low - quality of subjective classroom observations that are the norm for traditional teacher evaluation systems, the state

students from all over the world on teams with multi-disciplinary mentors and having them tackle

build a community of change agents that would serve as a networking platform for future job prospects and lateral moves.
This, coupled with the fact that there is a scarcity of paid positions
in social justice, and that tuition fees and
student debt continue to hike,

building social justice careers are consistently disempowered and stripped of their happiness as they go through their
