I was hanging around with
well, my Whitney ISP life turned into making Documents, which is a small magazine that I made with a group of
friends, Chris Hoover, who was distributing independent film and video, Margaret Sundell, who is now I think at Creative Time in The Drawing Center, Miwon Kwon, who is at UCLA, and Jim Markovitz, who
became a
lawyer, left the art world.
For many years, we had the great honor to work with producer Kate Kenney and and audio engineer (now
lawyer) Mike Hochman, who were not only wonderful to work with but who
became good friends as
well.
Whether that's a
good or bad thing depends on your perspective, but in learning to overcome the biggest success - killer for litigators, my
friend took one small step toward
becoming a truly great
