That's why she spent a week at AAAS, 18 - 22 July, taking part in a summer
leadership training institute organized by the Society for the Advancement of Chicanos / Hispanics and Native Americans in Science (SACNAS).
Finally a bit of personal news: last week I accepted a position as a Senior Fellow for Digital with the New Leaders Council, a progressive organization that conducts
leadership training institutes all over the country.

A missional initiative by Biblical Seminary & under the
leadership of Dr. Diane Langberg & Dr. Philip Monroe, the
institute consists of a clinical faculty able to teach,
train, & supervise individuals & groups seeking to enhance effective ministry & provide best clinical practices.
Several possible strategies are being considered, including: embedding practice - based coaching into higher education coursework; coaching and
training institutes to support effective coaching practices; and supporting implementation of QRIS elements through
trainings on: family engagement, teacher - child interactions, diversity, administrative
leadership, and developmental screening.
