Me... I'll take down the trees
on or after New Years and some of the obviously Christmas decor... but I'll

I can't remember where I got the ball
garland last year, but the stocking in the middle is from Crate & Barrel and the stocking
on the
left is from HomeGoods.
Using a hot glue gun, attach the berries to the box of every third or fourth
leaf on the
garland.

I used a fresh
garland on my stairs and I ended up with a little
left over, I bought some floral oasis from my local florist and created an arrangement using the
left over greens and some lillies in a vintage silver punch bowl that I found in a thrift store a few years back.
Many years I have bought
garland from Costco but since we
leave our fireplace
on a lot, the
garland dries out pretty quickly and makes a real mess.

I took inspiration from the color palette of winters in my hometown - Juneau, Alaska and tried to create something that felt nostalgic but was also fresh (fresh bay
leaf garlands and wreaths) and whimsical (the snowflakes
on the pallet accent wall).
Then I added a
leaf garland and some gourds that I scored
on sale at Micheal's, a pumpkin and a couple candles I had
on hand, and some acorns I found in the Target dollar spot.
