Here is where we
left off with the
kitchen island makeover.
I had my
left hand on my face (in part to push up my glasses as I need more of the bifocal area of my glasses when I sit at the computer - yes, I get my eyes checked at the end of this month), but my legs weren't crossed - because I rarely cross them when sitting on the bar stool (we have breakfast on the
kitchen island and I'm still here finishing up my blog reading / writing).

We will either add a pull out table off the
kitchen island or a drop down table off the wall somewhere so that the open area you are referring to is
left open This will allow the dining table (wherever it ends up) to be out of the way and pulled out when needed.

It is not a huge
kitchen and even though it is open to the rest of the house with blue and white I think you are correct that it is best to
leave this older
island painted like the cabinets.
