On a recent Thursday I was suffering from a lack of inspiration, so I reached out to Scientific American Mind's followers on Twitter and Facebook to ask them what they most wanted to
learn about the mind and brain.

about some of the counterintuitive things I've
learned about investing over the years.

We've
learned lots
about the human
mind.
Not just a «lifehack» or a bit of trivia but actually
learned a new skill, or compelling new interpretation of Scripture or — God forbid — something that actually changed your
mind about a long - held belief?
I know I'm way off in areas, and pray daily that I
learn about these areas before I damage too many
minds.
Based on my early church experiences, letting my son «make up» his own
mind about religion would be misguided, because that conception of freedom fails to recognize how children
learn to reason in the first place.
We would NOT
learn about Jesus because religion exists only in our
minds, not in reality.
Melville had no illusions
about New York, but the city stands in his
mind as the place where men
learn not only cruel indifference to their brothers, but the necessity to keep them in charity as well.
Another tells us that the modern Western reader can not easily recapture the Semitic
mind's comfort with extremist language, that we must

My friends and i go to a christian church and some of the Muslim students have gone with us just to see and
learn for them selves what it is like instead of going off rumors and here say... Unless you have experiences something on your own you have no right to talk smack
about it... The reason the world is the way it is is because people are to stuck up THEIR butts and THEIR way, to even try and become educated
about anything else... im not saying convert or change your ways... But be educated
about something before you talk because if your not you really look like a fool... ever religion, race, culture,... they have their good people and they have their bad people and you CAN NOT judge a whole race, religion, culture... off one group... that just being single
minded!!!
We are attending a gathering of like -
minded people on January 19 to

about this great need and how we can get involved.

learn what the Bible says
about right thinking and how to change our
minds.

I must confess that in the back of my
mind I had plans for more than just seeing the river and
learning about fish.
No, because the end justify s the means and you have already made up your
mind that you are right
about Jesus and there can be no other truth, and it's never
about learning more
about different people and cultures and religions, it's
about making sure anyone who is different knows you are a Christian which is the only sensible way to live and anyone who is not like you is either converted, attacked, pitied or dismissed as a fool who awaits eternal damnation.
Republicans should be happy to
learn this Truth that has brought America to the state of Light for Obama to pick on it.One thing good
about American Democracy is it is «truly participating» and lasting with lessons for others to follow in modernity to tap blue horizons of life.Those blue horizons just do not end in economics that has many
minds to tap the financial barometer of the country self educative in working of its affluent class and ordinary class both domestically and internationally relating to perfection with budgeting of money in economic plans that have been existing and are in the process to move charismatically with a tide over where bipartisan element also comes into play well integrated to test the mettle of the top leader of the country who has to stand over the continuous democratic element evolving of the country both in economic as well as inherently in spiritual terms for the good of the people at large mixing with the culture of exchange that has humanity behind it to survive??

Jeremy, I would again like to say that the thing I appreciate most
about your post and what I wish others who visit this post would keep in
mind, and
learn from, is that you actually got out and attended a worship service with the Latter - day Saints to see for yourself what they believe and also that you approached the beliefs of others with charity and fairness.
Such an approach is absurd; all of us who came to this symposium with the end in
mind of
learning something
about Whitehead and something
about educational evaluation are proof of that.
If you have a topic in

about, don't just read anything on the subject.
Those who are wise in their own
minds (whether they are «educated» or not makes no difference) often depend upon their own wisdom; whereas those who are know they have much to

And those who do live the life of the community, seeking to appropriate for themselves its central affirmations, yet unconcerned
about the peripheral, secondary, and now and again misleading assertions and practices that have often been associated with those essentials; those who
learn gradually to join in its prayers and receive the sacraments, and to read the Bible with open, earnest, yet critical
minds; those who endeavor with heart and soul to express in daily life the Christian principle of life «in Christ» — such men and women will find increasingly that they genuinely belong.
Unless they have been sexually abused, they haven» yet
learned to be afraid
about anything sexual and their cognitive development hasn't got to the point of being able to participate in
mind games yet.
