There's some irony in the title, it seems, because much of what Harris suggests is that she was actually raised wrong, at
least in a political sense.

in total agreement with the leading philosopher /
political theorist of the 20th Century, Eric Voegelin, who opposed pathological ideologies (Socialism, National Socialism, Communism, Fascism), though I doubt he considered «localism and traditionalism,» at
least in the FPR «
sense,» to be radical pathologies.
But that objection to historicist conservatism was raised, as Muller notes, by Leo Strauss, certainly a conservative thinker, at
least in the
sense that classical
political philosophy is a major source of modern conservatism.
The use of and appeal to religious communalism is effective (at
least in the short run) precisely because increasingly more people are finding a greater
sense of common purpose
in traditional religions than
in political parties or secular ideologies.

least as important, though, is that the under - appreciated dignity and honor
in political compromise,

in top elected offices, but at
least as many women as men work as
political activists and
political staff or as volunteers.

sense of humour, job or even taste
in food, Irish singles are unperturbed by their date's
political opinion, ranking it among the
least important (ahead only of religion and sportiness).
One of the points I have made before on various occasions is that fundamentally totalitarianism isn't really
political — at
least not
in the
sense that people mean the term «
political.»
Partly that is because a
political consensus of some standing has been that damage below this level might be
in some
sense acceptable, or at
least reasonably survivable.
