They probably wrote the
review because they were angry at other things in general or were in a bad mood, and they'll probably feel bad about it if you
leave them a nice comment (if you can't track them down, you could just post a reply like that straight on Amazon — it will make you look awesome even to other readers who read the
nasty review and then your kind, polite response).
Writers who harass agents because they didn't get a response to their query, or berate editors for rejecting them or
leave other writers
nasty reviews, should not be surprised that they have to resort to dubious means to get noticed.
Almost any author who is trying to sell books these days has run into the trolls and sock puppets who seem to spend their days
leaving nasty or idiotic
reviews (for books they obviously haven't read) for no particular purpose except to wield the power they probably don't have in their real lives.
This person says the
nastiest things, screams the loudest and ultimately
leaves you the worst online
review possible.
