I will
leave out some of the onion next time for me though and I increased the garlic by double and will maybe a bit more... That's so wonderful about cooking — we get it just like we like it!!

Add a pinch
of salt and pull
out the
onion at the end, and you're
left with a bright, velvety tomato sauce with a rich roundness from the butter.

I know I should follow it but it's just so hard because lentils, chickpeas, avocado, mushrooms, artichokes,
onions and garlic It's really hard to
leave those
out even if it's just for a couple
of weeks.
Turn off the heat and quickly lift the
onions out of the pan with,
leaving the oil behind.
I think that's because there's very little broccoli flavor to it — once you boil the snot
out of the broccoli and add garlic,
onions, jalapenos, lime juice, cilantro, cumin, and chili powder, somehow the broccoli just melts away, and all you're
left with is something deliciously guacamole - like.

I adapted the original a bit — halved it and
left out the chopped
onion, added a drizzle
of sour cream — and you can make it with what you like best.
(even w / me adding almost 1/4 C
of dried
onion flakes and
leaving out molasses, tamari, & Worcest.
Today, I used pancetta in place
of the bacon,
left out the
onions (didn't have any on hand) and used fat - free half & half in place
of the milk — still perfect!
It's chicken thighs with kalamata olives and spicy green olives and garlic and sundried tomatoes and
onions and mushrooms, but any
of those things can be
left out and it's still fabulous.
