Increase the mixer speed to medium and beat the dough until
it leaves the side of the bowl.
Stir in the half - and - half or coconut milk until the dough
leaves the sides of the bowl.
This mixing process actually kneads the batter for you, so at this point batter will have
left the sides of the bowl and will be a turning blob on the dough hook.

Continue adding the flour (both wheat and bread flour) until the dough clears the
sides of the
bowl and is soft and smooth, it may

of dough free, arrange apple slices by overlapping them slightly in the shape
of a circle, starting from the outermost part
of the circle, until you reach the inside 10) Fold the edges
of dough over the filling and then sprinkle the dough with a bit
of sugar 11) Bake for about 40 - 45 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the apples are soft 12) Serve warm, with a
side of whipped cream or ice cream (optional)
It came out hard to the point I couldn't get it out
of the mixer
bowl without
leaving behind 1/4
of it stuck to
sides and bottom
of the
bowl.
Also, it should largely clean the
sides of the
bowl,
leaving just a thin layer
of floury stuff.
Leave it to sit for 5 minutes and stir again, scraping down any stray seeds from the
sides of the
bowl into the milk.
